I'm hosting a family reunion in September and have decided to do a Photo Scavenger Hunt.

For those who don't know what that is, I will be buying a few disposable cameras and passing them out at the reunion where everyone will break up into groups. I will then give them a list of things to take pictures of along with their groups. For example: Human Scuplture, where everyone in the group would pose as a famous statue.

I was wondering if anyone had done this before and if they would have any ideas to add to my list. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What a fun idea! I googled it and this site came up

http://womentodaymagazine.com/family/photohunt.html

And here are some of the ideas they have!

Have a great time! Sounds like fun!

Scene from a Disney movie (explaining it afterwards is half the fun!)
Catalog pose
Do exactly what the sign says (any sign can work)
Most creative use of âleap-frog'
"I can't believe we all fit in here!"
Picture with an animal (the more unusual the better)
Take your picture with someone in uniform
Create a public work of art
Capture your reflection in an unexpected place
Spell something in people â family name, hello, SOS . . .
Mimic a statue -- fountains also work well
Campaign for an unlikely cause -- higher prices outside a discount store?
An unsual perspective -- could be everyone's shoes, or the just top of their heads. .
Make yourselves appear really small
Can you find us?

some of my favorite 'hunts' have been to dress up and then have your picture taken - ex. my roommate in uni and I dressed up as pirates and had our picture taken with a local high school pirate mascot

also fun to have one thing and have it in every picture - like a gnome.

The key is to make them find something in the environment to take the picture with - and then have them do something fun.

depending on environment -

find a house number with at least one specific number (if you keep track of how many reunions that could be fun) and then make the number with the house in the background.

bury a teammate in the sand or convince someone else to let you bury them in the sand

replicate the beatles 'abbey road' album cover.

Thanks guys. I love the idea with the number. This is our second annual reunion and if everyone has fun with this game I plan to do it every year. The Abbey Road idea is really cute too. That website helps out a lot Aliwis. I appreciate your help!
