I was asked to make a sneaker, either out of cake or as a transfer. I really would like to try it out of cake but don't know where to begin.

Has anyone ever made one?
Is it hard to do and how do you make it?
Is it possible to make one that stands upright?

HELP PLEASE!! Any and All suggestions are welcome, TIA

Like a high top shoe (converse)? I would think two loaf pans worth of cake, frozen and then stacked, you could carve out a high top shoe that would be recognizable as such, carving out an opening at the top and then sloping down for the shoe top. I think a running shoe type of sneaker might be a little harder.... but maybe not. I think the key here will be scale-- if it is off, it will look funny.

I think I might have seen a template in the galleries under sketches and templates. you could look and see, if not just go on a search for shoes.hth
