How Do I Get My Royal Icing To Stay Shiny When Is Dries?

I need some help. When I ice my cookies the icing is shiny, but when it dries it gets dull, can anyone tell me how to make it stay shiny?

What type of a recpe are you using? I've never had any problems with my RI going "dull".

When doing a royal icing run-out, etc., place it under a lamp to dry a bit, and this will help it keep its shine.
