FYI
This is for baptism for a 9 month old girl. Mom picked out crip on heart cake.

That is a good suggestion...Would it be too much with the ribbon border?
Fondant hearts sound nice and would match the bottom cake even more to the top heart cake ! How about just the outline of some hearts, even maybe overlaping heart outlines, in the pink color you used ?
Yes, I would go with a cross and maybe something more with letters like God Bless "baby's name".
ok, When I discussed making of the cake with the client, we had a few changes. So when I realized we would have a open spot I told her "maybe some flowers or something". I like the idea with a cross over the name and maybe some small flowers on the 4 corners? Not sure if I should change from flowers to a cross tho....
Think I'll call her..
Anymore ideas...examples?
A bible verse about children above the child's name. The one my friend choice on her daughter's dedication cake was:
Psalm 127:3 - Children are an heritage of the Lord.
she's not home. I do remember when we spoke, the original cake (someone here) had a rosery on it but she didn't want it. So that holds me back from making a cross.
I would fill in the space with a design similar to the embelishment done in the corners.
btw beautiful cake!
