How Much Should I Charge For This Cake?

This is a 6 and 10 round with WASC cake on the bottom with strawberry butter cream filling and darn good chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling on the top. The decorations are gum paste and fondant.
I know I should charge for my cakes, but when I am giving them away I do a great job. But when I am charging for them I get so nervous it turns our mediocre.
I did not charge for this cake, but the lady did give me the cost of ingredients. She is a friend of mine and I told her that I would do the cakes for free because I need the practice.
Please tell me what you would charge for this cake, without giving thought to what area you are in.
Thank you
I can't see an image. Could you repost??
Sorry, I dont know what happend!
That is really really pretty.
From what I can tell, the cakes are iced in BC, right? Here's how I would price it out:
47 servings according to my chart at $2.50 per serving = $117.50
Your sugarpaste bows I'm guessing at $10 each (I haven't done any, but I remember reading that a lot of people said they charge about $20 per bow so I'm going lower incase my memory has failed me ) = $20 for both
Sugarpaste butterflies and other acents = $10
Ribbon (I assume that is a ribbon on the bottom tier, right?) = $2.50
Total cost: $150.00
I could be a little high on my fondant decorations as I haven't done a lot with fondant and could be overpricing those items. Anyone want to chime in on that.....I'd love the advice. Thanks!
