I filled my cake with whipped chocolate ganache today. I won't be serving it until Sunday. Can the cake sit out or should I store it in the refrigerator? I am going to frost with buttercream and decorate with fondant accents.
I would definitely refrigerate it. 2 days is too long to let ganache go before delivery.
Depending on your recipe, ganache either needs to be refrigerated immediately or can be left out a couple of days.
Do you think I could frost in the buttercream today, refrigerate and then add the fondant accents on Saturday night? Would the fondant still attach to the buttercream? i'm just adding some stripes, polka dots and a gumpaste bow at the bottom.
