I'm trying to make an apple out of RKT's covered in fondant. It just looks so lumpy/bumpy/unsmooth due to the RKT's texture underneath the fondant. Is there some trick to doing this to get a smooth finish on a RKT item? I'm doing this tonight so I appreciate all your quick advice!!!
It would help if you could put a coating of buttercream on it first....try rolling your fondant out thicker. Then use a fondant smoother to smooth the lumps out. It should work!
