This is pretty basic. Need to make a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, not real decorations but I would like to put some carrots on the top. ? is how do I go out making them?

You would need some orange fondant. Roll out a little sausage, then roll one end thiner...to a point. Use a toothpick or fondant tool to make lines across. Use a little green fondant/gumpaste to make some tiny leaves to look almost like grass blades. Attatch about 3-4 of these to the thick end of the carrot with some gum glue (gumpaste dissolved in water). If you'd like, you can paint in the indents you made, for a more realistic look. Just use orange food coloring mixed with a little extract or Vodka. HTH
