Flavored marshmallows for MMF? I don't want to have to run to the store again today, and I already have some strawberry flavored ones... thought it may taste good. I'm just doing it for practice right now, but may use it if it can be stored long enough.

Sure, it works. It will affect the flavor and color, but the texture will be fine.
