Can I halve the recipe or does that mess it up? Thanks!

I've only halved the recipe and never had issues. I also roll it between parchment paper as the note at the bottom says to do so I don't need 2 hours of chill time.

I've even used 1/4 of the recipe (I only needed a dozen cookies to give to a friend for a thank-you). The only ingredient that doesn't convert is the egg. I used one smallish egg. The cookies came out just fine!

You'll have better luck if you reduce the baking powder to 1 teaspoon.
