I would like to know if anyone has worked with cold porcelain and if so, how do you like it. It's new to me and I was interested in taking some classes on it. Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Stephanie

Yes, I've worked with it. It's essentially reinforced elmer's glue that can be worked just like gum paste. It's easy to mold, model, and cut. In light colors, it can be translucent. It's generally very strong.

I don't use it because I prefer edible sugar work wherever possible, so gum paste is my main medium. I've been told that cold porcelain work should not touch an edible surface.
