Okay, I've managed to keep myself from bragging for almost 24 whole hours--most of which I spent asleep!

So, there's a story to go with these cakes.

My mother and I play the lottery game--that is to say, we buy a ticket for each drawing, just one, and spend hours imagining spending the money. She's a maaaajor NASCAR fan, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is her favorite driver. So one of our things was, since her birthday fell on a Sunday (race day) this year, if we hit the lottery we'd get a skybox booth and get racecar cakes for all the teams and get on TV that way.

Of course, we didn't hit the lottery.

Still, this is what I made her for her birthday. A LOT of work, and I didn't get the driver's side windows on the blue car before my best friend had to chuck me out of her apartment, but that's a small thing...

Sorry you didnt hit the jackpot! My family does the same thing, we sit around talking about what we would do with all that money. I know they say it cant buy happiness but I would sure like to try it!
