I have to make a wedding cake for a casual tropical themed wedding. I have free choice over what I want to make so I would like suggestions of real crowd pleasers. I know I want to do one tier key lime cake with either lime curd or raspberry filling ( I read someone who did that and it sounded good), but there will be 4 more tiers.
Any suggestions are very welcome.

I did a cake for my DH's office (2 layer - 8" square). It was a coconut WASC with coconut pastry cream and pineapple filling. Very pina colada-like.

My DH never got to try it. He put it on the table at 8:20 AM and it was gone by 9:00 AM!
