What would be the best method to make crayons for a cake? Fondant? Marzipan? Gumpaste? Hoe would one go about making them? I need some real help.

I just did a crayon cake... I was going to make them from fondant, but found adorable sugar crayons instead.... The cake is in my pics, and I bought them from cakedeco.com

I just got a book yesterday from my MIL and they used regular ice cream cones for the tops of the crayons. Of course this is if you are making a large sheet cake shaped like a box of crayons. Smaller, I'd just use fondant. I have seen chocolate crayons at Easter time too. I bet you can find a mold either at a local supply shop or online, if you have time.
