Im making a cake next weekend for my daughter and its teddy bear themed. I want to make a little Bear for the top and am unsure as to what to make it out of? Gum paste or Fondant? I'm pretty new to both. So I would want to use the easier of the two. Any advice would be great! Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

I would use a fondant/gumpate mixture. The gumpaste will help your figure's shape, but the fondant will give you more time to work with it before it dries out and starts to harder.

Ditto what TexasSugar said. That's what I would do.

I would mix 50/50 also.
