Hi All-
Im new to decorating and had a question. I want to put fondant accents on a buttercream cake. Do I cut out the accents the night before and let them dry before putting them on the cake or do I need to do them the same day as when i frost the cake? Thank you!!

P.S. Im using the MMF

go look at my pics all I do is buttercream with fondant accents, don't like the taste of fondant, even MMF.

I cut the flowers, pictures, plaques of whatever ahead of time, let them dry, use petal dust paint, and edible markers to do the deorating. Good luck.

Coloring books are good for starter pictures. I have a degree in "Home Econmics" and a minor in art, so I do a lot of freehand work. But there are lots of cutters and molds that you can buy.

I've added fresh fondant accents to crusted buttercream with no problems.
