I wanted to know how far in advance you can place cones on the cake?
I'm making one for my daughter's birthday (out of the Wilton Cake Decorating Beginner's guide-small book with a yellow cover) and have to place 5 of each sugar and cake cones--flat bottom ones--on the cake as turrets.
Her party is on August 2nd. I have the cake made and iced already. Do you think I could put the cones on it tonight and leave out on the counter or place in the fridge? I don't want the cones to be soggy or collapse.
