If you were me what would you use for the branches of the cherry blossom cake. I have seen it done two different ways. Would you shape chocolate tinted fondant and apply with buttercream after you assemble at home before you deliver, or would pipe it on with chocolate buttercream. I just can't decide which would be better.

I think the fondant will be too thick, but may be you can work the fondant to make the branches thin, I don't think I can.
I think it would be much nicer with the BC.
