I am not sure if I am actually allowed to post this so if I am not, I aplogize and will not be offended if it is deleted, but...
I am an Elementary Teacher who has been subbing for the past couple of years. However have really enjoyed the hobby of cake decorating and even though I may not be that great would love to work in the business. is there anyone in the Reading, Pa area with a bakery that would be willing to hire me and teach me more of the trade?

Thanks!

Hello, neighbor!

I'm from the Lehigh Valley, so we're probably about 30 minutes away from each other. As far as a job to get experience in cakes, I can't help you. I work in hotel sales and am a caker for fun.

Good luck!

Michelle

I'm from near Lancaster. Go ahead and try a grocery store if there isn't a small bakery hiring. The pay isn't always great, but I learned a great deal in my 3 years in a grocery store bakery! It was a great stepping stone to my own business.
