Hello guys
lately I have had some problems with making 3d characters with gumpaste. Whenever my characters are done drying they look cracky and white. I have a picture of a few characters I did in my portfolio as a example.

My question is, is it better to make figures out of fondant or gumpaste? I know gumpaste is great for flowers but do people usually use ALL gumpaste when making figures or just the big or small stuff? Also how would I make it not so dry looking?

Thank you for your time guys and gals =)

I usually use a 50/50 mix of fondant & gumpaste. It may take a little longer to dry but it works great for me.
