Hi everyone. I'm wondering if anyone has opinions about books on starting a cake/dessert business...any recommendations? Are any titles a waste of time and money? Thanks for your input!

Welcome to Cake Central. The best place to start is finding out what is leagal in your state. Many states do not allow the sale of home baked goods. They require you to work from a licensed commercial kitchen.

There is a wealth of good information in the business section. The book advertised on this site at cake-business.com has been recommended. The author's have posted on this site, with a money back guarantee, it is worth the price.

Thank you, JoAnnB. It does look like a great book; I'm excited for it to arrive. And thank you for the welcome!
