I made a batch of batter but I have to go out, can it be frozen for how long or put in the fridge for how long? I have not added the eggs. I just added water and oil to dry ingredients. please advice.
I have already frozen cake batter, eggs and all, for a year. I just put it in a Ziploc bag (that is the only brand I use), and stuck it in the freezer.
When I was packing to move, I went through the freezer to see what should be used up first, and found these bags of cake batter on the bottom. I prepared a half-sheet pan, took the batters from their bags, dropped them into the pan, and let them thaw right there. When the batter was thawed through the middle, but still cold, I put it into the hot oven, and it baked up like it was brand new batter.
