Need A Scripture For A Christening/baby Dedication Cake
Decorating By Babygirlx Updated 1 Aug 2008 , 4:18am by FeGe_Cakes
I am doing a "baby's dedication to the Lord" cake on Sunday and I have an idea already, I just need a good scripture that relates to the occassion. Does anone have any maybe they used in the past? I am doing a cross with flowers and a scripture in the middle.
If ou have a better idea than drawing cross, it will be gladly appreciated. ( pics)
how about:
Matthew 18:5
"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.
I don't have my Bible with me here at work. If memory serves me correctly, you could look in 1 Samuel where Hannah dedicates Samuel to the Lord. Maybe there's something good there.
I like the one Jess85 suggested too.
How about:
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 1-:14
"For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him." 1 Samuel 1:27
"...What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him." Luke 1:66
Here's are a couple of links with scripture about children just scroll down until you see them referring to children

Here's one that I like too but I don't know if it will fit on the cake or not.
Mark 10:14
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
or Mark 10:14 from KJV:
...Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
