Can it be used as cake flavoring?

I want to make a chocolate/mocha cake and I have coffee flavoring by Lorann's. I'm using an enhanced box cake mix but wasn't sure how much of the flavoring I should add. I don't want to over-do it, but I also want a noticeable coffee hint to it.

Should I just use shots of espresso instead?

Please help!!

LorAnn Oils has a great website with recipes for using their products in both edibles and craft projects.

Here's the link to the edible recipes:

THanks JanH! That was loads of help!

Seems I'll need close to 2 tsps for a 10" cake.

I think I would just add some instant coffee crystals to the liquid that's going in the cake...a lot cheaper than the Lorann's and it gives it a good flavor kick.
