I am trying to use the Diamond Pattern mat and I have never had a problem with it untill this summer. I Have let this cake crust for over three hours know and it is still sticking to the plastic mat. I wipe the mat down every time and it is still sticking. Would sticking it in the fridge for a couple of hours help???

It doesn't even need a couple of hours... Stick it in the fridge, take it out, use the mat. If it gets warm again, stick it back in the fridge... I deal with heat all the time, I'm in Louisiana... icon_razz.gif

Good luck,

I asked a similar questions and many said to make a cornstarch dusting bag, and dust the plastic mat before pressing.

We did a fake cake in the winter and the mat worked beautiful, went to do the same thing on a fake layer of cake in July and went nuts, ended up leaving the sides plain and putting the pearls in the border, good thing the customer was a relative.
