I'm probably the only person who has any doh! moments and turns on the oven when I have something stored in it. Just in case I'm not, here's what I figured out so I don't do it again.
Last night I made a ton of flowers, and the oven is the last place in the apartment that doesn't have ants, so I put them all in there to dry. So that I wouldn't forget, I took one of my flower cutters and stuck it on the oven knob. Now if I try to turn the oven the cutter will get in my way and I'll remember that I've got 200 flowers on formers in there
That is a really good tip. I don't usually keep anything in my oven, but my bf stores pans in his and every time I end up having to pull very hot pans out of the oven because I forget to take them out before I turn it on. I'll have to hijack his oven knob with a flower cutter
