I need to make 1/4 sheet cake. What pan size should I use?
9x13 is 1/4 sheet 11x15 is half sheet 12x18 is 3/4sheet. I put together 2-11/15's for a full. At least that's here in my neck of the woods.
That is one of those, it depends on the person and where you live.
I do a 9x13 for a 1/4 sheet (as do most grocery stores) so I think that is what most people are expexting.
An 11x15 is a 1/3 sheet. For a half sheet I use 2 9x13's and a whole I use 4-9x 13's. I find it easier to deal with smaller cakes, plus I don't have to have a ton of different cake pans.
However, Wilton considers it's 12x18 as a half sheet I believe.
I would go to your grocery store and find out what their sizes are because that is more than likely what people will be expecting because that is what they know!
i would go by how many servings you need and making a large enough size to cover everyone
