I have heard before that you must prepare your BC tips and bags before using them on RI. If any one could tell me how to do this that would be great. I also have a wilton class tonight so I need to know as soon as possible.

You want to make sure all the grease from BC is removed (I use separate tips and parchment bags for RI). If you need to use your BC tips/bags I would suggest washing well in soapy water then soaking in vinegar and rinse well. HTH.

I just wash the tips well with soapy water. I don't bother with the vinegar and haven't had any problems.

I use disposables and parchment, so I don't have to wash the bags. (I'm lazy)

I also use parchment paper for RI..sometimes with no tip, just a small hole. I use my sugarveil machine A LOT for RI..sure saves the hands!

I clean my tips by tossing them in a cup of water and nuking them for a minute. This is after cleaning the BC out with soap and water.

I use parchment bags.

I boil my tips with a little dawn in the water and they come out grease free. I also use disposable bags.
