Dont' know if anyone has posted this website yet, but it is absolutely the most hilarious thing I've seen in a LOOOONG time! And, I wouldn't be surprised if someone from CC has seen or even owned this "house cake" pamphlet.

I hope you like it as much as I have!

Glad you liked it. If you go to her homepage, "The Gallery of Regrettable Food," there are some others that are really funny.

that's too funny-but what makes it better is that some happy homemaker probably did that every month of the year like it was nothing to do lol

"Perhaps these cakes were all made to placate the disembodied head that lives in the yellow room."

I almost peed my pants when I read that one. Today has been comedy day here on CC. thumbs_up.gif

Oh yeah! Laugh it up my CC friends. You want to know the TRUTH? I actually OWN that cake pan mold. My mom must have purchased it in the 50's and it was given to me when she moved from her home to an apartment. And YES I did make a cake or two in it. None of them looked like the cakes from the book. Fortunately I didn't know of the book and had to do the cakes on my own.
And btw my sister had the same hair style that the "disembodied head" had so dial back on that too! Oh, wait-that hair style is hilarious isn't it?

I KNEW someone on CC would have that pan!!! Are you telling me that you really didn't want to decorate with a lincoln fetus or giant pecking chicken?!! I am totally shocked!!

I guess you don't have a disembodied head to placate either? icon_eek.gif I know mine is pretty demanding. icon_wink.gif

My mom has that mold icon_biggrin.gif It's made her an expert on 3D cakes. If she saw the booklet, though, she'd be an instant expert on decorating too.
