I was trying to search on here and on the internet about how to create a metallic finish on a cake. Does anyone know how to do this?
You would use the proper metallic color (i.e. silver or gold etc.) of l uster dust, and for the shiniest finish you'd dissolve it in high-proof clear alcohol (vodka, lemon extract or everclear depending on what you can get) and paint it on w/a paintbrush (or airbrush if you have one). Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before adding another coat for a more intense metallic finish.
