indydebi, I use your recipe for buttercream and have used an impression mat- it worked great!

I did too, it the Christmas cake with the poinsettia on top in my photos if you want to look. I love indydebi's recipe! I've also been sifting my cake mixes as she suggested and it makes a big difference in the way they bake icon_biggrin.gif Three cheers for indydebi thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

I'll have to try sifting. Right now I put the cake mix in the mixer bowl and turn the mixer on low for a couple minutes while the oven pre-heats, and I prepare the pans, and I get the rest of the ingredients together. It breaks up the lumps, but I bet sifting would be more effective.
