For those of you who use the WASC recipe, is it suppose to be a little on the dry side? I made it for the first time because of all the rave reviews I have read here on CC but mine came out heavier and a little on the dry side. Are you suppose to use cake mixes with or without pudding in the mix? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I made my first wasc last week. Not dry at all. Used BC white cake mix. No pudding. It was a little more dense than a normal white cake but yummy! I followed the recipe and was careful on how long I baked. I usually use XL eggs instead of the regular L.
Maybe I'm jsut not used to a dense cake. I really like the taste of it and would like to offer that to my customers. Thanks.
I use DH to make mine and I've never had it come out dry. Try it again with a different brand maybe?
