For those of you who make WASC, is the cake suppose to come a little on the dry side? I made it for the first time because I read rave reviews about the recipe but mine came out heavier and a little dry. Is this how it is suppose to come out? Also, are you used to use a cake mix with or without pudding in the mix? I really like the taste of it but and not sure on the texture. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've made it a couple of times and it was VERY moist and good. As for using a mix with the pudding already in it, I would use a mix WITHOUT pudding in it because the recipe calls for you to add instant pudding to it. I've heard that using the mixes with pudding and then adding pudding on top of that can cause gumminess. I'm sure someone else can add to this as well!

The recipe I've seen doesn't call for adding pudding & calls for BC or Pills, which both have pudding in them. Not used Pills, but had luck w/ BC, not DH (always sank in the middle)
