Hi,
Next month, in Aug. ('0icon_cool.gif, I am flying to the Columbus, Ohio area to celebrate and make cake for my Mom's 90th birthday.
(At home in AZ, I buy Pastry Pride at Smart & Final.)
I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find some Pastry Pride or Rich's Bettercream in that area? I don't know where anything is.
I am willing to travel a little.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.[/b]

Cake Craft on the corner of Cleveland Ave and 161 on the East side of town is the best place I go to get supplies. I have not bought that stuff there before but they have had everything else i've needed.

There is also a smaller one off Johnsonville rd. by the airport.

Sorry, I neglected to mention that I will be staying in Gahanna at my neice's house.

And Barb, thank you so much for your info.
I'm sure my neice will help me find these places.

Thank you so much!!!

There should be a Gordon Food Service around there.

Google gfs then look up store locator, type in columbus, oh and I believe there are about 5 or 6 stores. They carry rich's bettercream. I think there is one on cleveland ave, maybe it's near the cake store.

This is great!
I did google GFS and it turns out, there is one 6 miles from my neice's house. She is very familiar with it. She has shopped there for other things. We are also going to check out Cake Craft.
I'm all set.

You guys are the best! Thanks a million!

icon_confused.gif Mike - You are certainly not referring to "Columbus" as that awful place?
Scarlet and Grey all the way!

Abbey,
The GFS is right next door to Cake Craft. Can't go to one with out the other.

I also just found a great store, I guess its been here for 5 years but I never go to that section of Easton,

Sur La Table, in Easton Town Center. Its a great store - alot of baking stuff and kitchen stuff, I feel in love with the place and I can't wait to go back.

There is a CC member in Gahanna. Maybe searching on here will bring up her name.

Cake Craft AND GFS are right across a small street from each other on Cleveland Ave. (just south of Rt. 161) not far from Gahanna at all. Just an FYI - it is a LOT cheaper at GFS.

everyone recommending the columbus store and the gfs next door are correct. They have a lot of stuff, but not the greatest location, be prepared. It is in a small strip mall and it is very crowded and kind of messy (sorry). They do have most the stuff you need.
