can anyone help me? what can i sub for corn syrup?

Found this info:-

Substitution: CORN SYRUP, DARK 1 cup = 3/4 light corn syrup plus 1/4 cup light molasses
CORN SYRUP, LIGHT OR DARK 1 cup = 1 1/4 cups granulated or packed brown sugar plus 1/4 cup liquid (use whatever liquid the recipe calls for)

errrr do i need to boil the brown sugar & liquid? sorry if it's a dumb question.

Don't boil it otherwise your'll end up with caramel! I would defo think you need to melt the two together, so boil a pan of water and put a bowl sitting on top of the pan (double boiler style) with the sugar and liquid in it, stir untill it's melted, safest way as you don't want the sugar to actually cook icon_smile.gif

Hi mclaren - where are you located? It is possible to find corn syrup in various import stores, or you may even want to use Golden Syrup - thought the flavor is not spot on, but similar.
