I've never used it but I think its a strong buttery vanilla. Not sure though.

Butavan is a rich buttery vanilla. You can get it from sugarcraft.com

It is a buttery vanilla emulsion. earlenescakes sells it.

There are so many of Earlene's recipes that use it, and I have always wanted to try them, but I didn't know if there was something I could substitute for the butavan and get the same result. Has anyone ever tried any of Earlene's recipes and just used vanilla or some other substitute?
