Has anyone use Color mist before? How good is it ? Would you recommend it ?

The reason for these questions is that I want to try different things on my up coming Cake (it's for my DS). I have to make fire patterns out of fondant but I don't want to make a whole lot of the same color ... for it to go bad for the next cake . So i thought on trying the color mist to color the fondant .

What kind of supports would work the best to support cut out cake wheels?

I was thinking on using wooden squewers (sp?) but on the other hand i was also thinking on using straws . Doubting myself ....i know .

That is why i wanted to know your opinions .

Thank you

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The Wilton color mist works okay. Try it first on scrap material to get the pressure right and the look you're going for. Also, spray off of the cake and then move onto it, sweeping across, and then off the cake before you stop spraying. (Professional painters do this with paint spray cans too - it helps prevent puddles, drips, oversprays, and that spot where too much came out when you started.) Mask tape (blue stuff) areas you don't need colored.
