Hi everyone. I am very excited because I have my first appointment with a customer this evening. I have had plenty of orders before but my customers just tell me what they want. The order is for a sweet 16 cake due next weekend, it is a last minute request. She is my friend, but her little sister told her to take care of the cake ordering. She wants a 3 tier round, purple and bronze with flowers. What other questions should I ask since I will not be meeting the birthday girl there is no way I can talk to her or find out what her style and personality is. Also if anybody has any suggestions or pictures of cakes that will be helpful too. Thanks a bunch icon_biggrin.gif

You'll want to know # of servings(guests)
Flavors, fillings, type of icing if you offer different kinds.
Date of the event, time, pick-up or delivery.
How to spell birthday girl's name.
Allergies.
That's the basics that I can think of off the top of my head.

HTH.
I did a cake by Lindy Smith for my dil. I'll post it. It could easily be done in purple and bronze.
