I have read in one post that I should add butter flavoring. I don't have any! Would it work with double vanilla? Also, do I use whole eggs? Are all the other amounts the same. I just made wasc for the first time and everyone loves it so I want to try the yellow for a cake this weekend. Thanks

I've used yellow box mix, all vanilla flavoring and have never used butter flavoring. I also used whole eggs. Hope this helps.

Yes, but I use 6 whole eggs instead of the 8 egg whites. Here is a link to some other variation for WASC.

My *ORIGINAL* WASC calls for:
one cake mix (any flavor)
3 whole eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 cup liquid (usually water- can be juice)
generous dash of salt

Use a yellow cake mix and you don't need butter flavoring. If you want you could add up to 1/4 cup softened butter but I usually don't.

Thanks Kakeladi -- I use a slightly different version of WASC but I'm looking forward to trying yours. Thanks for sharing! icon_biggrin.gif
