When it comes to the flavors of cake and flavor of icing for your menu? I have been sticking some basic and what I like to make and eat.

I tell them, "If I can get it or make it, you can have it." I never used to list cake/fillings or flavors because (1) If I can get it, you can have it (2) most brides order pretty much the same ones, so it didn't really matter.

I finally added a short list upon request from clients.

They do... they are paying so they should get what they want. I'll give them guidance based on my most popular flavors, but I try not to limit them, or myself.

I have a list of flavors and fillings typed out but on the bottom I state "if you are interested in a flavor you don't see listed here, let me know and I'll see what I can do!" I've only been asked once to make a flavor not on my list and that was red velvet, which I think is yucky, but I'll do it for her!
