I am doing this cake for a wedding dinner and my husband has this bright idea to go with their theme to do a strawberry cake with a Margarita flavored icing? Sounds gross to me. However, does anyone have any suggestions? By the way this cake has to be done by Saturday the 19th.
Thanks,
Margaret

I'm not sure about that combo either, but if you're not totally married to the strawberry cake, here is a recipe for a margarita cake with keylime icing.

Would taste (sorta) like a reg. margarita and strawberry one swirled.

Add tequila (or tequila flavoring) and lime juice/flavor to your icing. I even add a sprinkle of kosher salt to my icing for that rimmed salty hint.

I would be more inclined towards a margarita cake with similar icing (like lcw1 posted) or similar recipe rather than strawberry, but to each their own! icon_smile.gif
