Hopefully someone can help me. You guys always seem to come through.

I am going to be making some sneakers for a cake and have practiced a little with fondant I have here at home (Satin Ice). Do I need to be adding anything like gumpate to make them stronger?

Thanks!
Melissa

I have foun that a 50-50 combination of gumpaste and fondant works really well to keep things in exceptional shape! It hardends up just as good as gumpaste alone, but is also very easy to work with. I just made some calla lilies with that mixture. Beautiful!!

Thanks! Just the answer I needed. The shoes came out so darn cute today but not strong enough. I followed a pattern in the gallery for the Converse tennis shoes, but made them much smaller.

I'll post when I get them done.
