Hi Guys

I have a request from a boy who is about 6 years old. He wants me to make a banana cake.

Whilst he is trying to figure out whether he wants a banana-flavoured cake or a cake made with bananas, do you think that it would be okay to moisten the banana cake with banana syrup?

Will the syrup make the cake too sweet and kill the natural flavour of the bananas in the cake?

If I decide to moisten the cake with the syrup, should I reduce some of the sugar in the recipe to avoid it being too sweet?

TIA!

Personally i would just use real bananas, they taste better than any artificial flavoring i have ever had. Of course thats JMO
