Hello. I am seeking advice/tips on using rolled buttercream versus rolled fondant. I've used rolled fondant and am not fond of the taste and wanted to try something new. Thank you
I use it all the time, but it is different to handle than fondant. You must use the vinyl to help cover the cake, and make it the correct consistency so it will tear (it can be repaired easily, it could just get a little annoying).
You can mix RBC with fondant, it will improve the taste of fondant and give the RBC a little more firmness.
I tried some earlier today and it was "flaky" when I was rolling it out..too dry maybe??
