I was expecting friends for lunch today and baked a Boston Cream Pie for dessert. It's already filled with cream but not topped with chocolate ganache yet. Well, my friends just called to say sorry but they had to cancel it (husband ate out yesterday and now his sick).
Can I freeze it? Is the custard filling (sugar, yolks, milk, flour, cornstach, some gelatin for stabilizing) going to be ok when defrosted?
