Can You Use White Fondant On Chocolate Iced Cake?

Has anyone done this? Will the chocolate create a shadow on the white fondant? I use chocolate SMBC.

it wont make a shadow, we use ganache and ice over that and it's not visble and ganache is darker than bc. also fruitcake is darker and have never had a problem.

Hi, I have used white fondant over choc iced cake and it doesn't show. But I wouldn't ice it too thick though.
