I made the Very Vanilla SMBC this evening for a cake due tomorrow, and even after adding all the butter and whipping the icing for a few minutes, it has not emulsified. The icing is creamy looking, and not of a spreadable consistency like buttercream. Is there anything I can do to fix it???
Never mind - thank goodness I figured it out myself. I added some more butter, about half a stick, and that did the trick. Phew!
