I forgot some buttercream in the refrigerator (half crisco, half butter) and am unsure if I can still use it or not. How long does it keep in the fridge? It'd be a shame to throw it out. Maybe it's still salvageable?

Smell it, taste it!!! An off-odor or taste will tell you quickly whether it is gone bad.
I may have to have my hubby or son do that for me - I swear I have the worst nose in the world!
