i am due to make a racetrack cake next weekend. i've scanned the pictures on this site and have an idea of what i am gonna be doing. but am not too sure what to use for the track. i've read that some members use crushed oreo cookies. i was thinking of using black buttercream. can i pls ask for your humble opinions. which is better. my main concern is that during transportation i don't want the cars to move (hope u understand what i am trying to say).
pls share your experiences and tips.

finely crushed oreo cookies (centers eaten -- oops "removed") rolled into dark grey/blackish crusting butter cream --- (melvira or viva towel method)
