Has anyone made Sugarshack's buttercream icing with Crisco? Her recipe calls for Sweetex which is not available locally. Wondered if it is as good with Crisco.
I have heard many make with Crisco as long as it HAS trans fats!
So the key is the trans fat? Crisco doesn't make it with trans fat anymore, so I will have to look for another brand. Thanks.
Right. I think store brands and walmart have some.
I used Market Basket (or Demoulas) brand and it works great
I usually try very hard to watch the trans fat stuff, but what the heck. It's cake for goodness sake!

I make it with the transfat-free Crisco and it seems to work fine.
